The missing 6,000 voters, part 5,990

Finally, after being alluded to in July 2014 EDDC is advertising for house to house canvassers to visit households not yet on the electoral roll. Interviews on 15 September 2014 so not in place till October 2014 when most councils have had them working for months.

We were promised 10 posts; wonder how many will be recruited?

  1. I wonder if EDDC will be instructing these canvassers to fully explain to people the difference between the ‘open register’ and the electoral register .

    • I should explain in case some people are not aware, the open register is the one that the council can sell to whoever wishes to buy it, So the more people on the open register the more the value of it!
