To be fair, I think that the Exmouth Jurassic thingy could reasonably be considered a tourism initiative.
But that is definitely not the same as broader-based initiatives to publicise East Devon as a tourist destination or to encourage tourism based businesses.

Then again, a letter in this week’s Pulmans View from Honiton from a tourist complaining about the closure of the public toilets at Branscombe suggests that in this instance EDDC is acting against tourism rather than to promote it.
