on the front page of View from Ottery, Hugo in Ottery Sainsbury’s getting instruction from staff in food hygeine with the headline “More cheese on mine, please, Hugo”.
We say “makes” as the pizzas in the picture appear to be ready-made and pre-packaged:

and we can’t reveal whether he was on a zero hours contract or an unpaid intern.
Please let us know if you see Hugo shopping in our local Tesco or Sainsbury’s stores (Waitrose doesn’t count, obviously!).
He also apparently “worked” on the fish counter … no, no, won’t go there.
I was not able to find the article – which page is it on?
And doesn’t Hugo have more important things to do (like represent the people of East Devon in important local issues) than a farcical PR stunt like this?

Ah yes, the dignity of office.
Would sir like his crust thin, stuffed, or his usual upper?

Ottery has very many major problems at the moment – massive over-provision of housing, when many of the town`s services and facilities are at capacity; a threat to the youth service, the children`s centre and the library. And most recently the plans to close all the hospital beds and the minor injuries service at Ottery St Mary Hospital. If Hugo Swire really does want to help Ottery – there`s plenty of issues there for him to get involved in.
If he can do no better than his silly stunt with pizzas, then surely he should be supporting the small independent traders in Ottery, not Sainsburys?

It is amazing just how “in touch” Hugo is with the local issues – NOT!!
But then again, all his parliamentary utterings are to do with his Foreign Office ministerial job, so it appears that aside from silly stunts with pizzas he doesn’t have time to get to grips with local issues.

If he must engage in such ill advised publicity stunts I should far rather have seen him supporting a truly local businesses. Oh, silly me, Sainsburys put a good few out of business didn’t they.

Just a little surprised he wasn’t holding a Proctor and Gamble item in the picture – after all, he is their government/big business buddy.

And he supports TTIP (see Private Eye) so he should be set up when he retires.
