Problems with East Devon District Council On line Planning

‘Please be aware that a number of people are having difficulties logging their comments onto the EDDC website. The website suggests your comments have been successfully submitted, yet they never appear. 1. Thanks for this post, Watchers.
The East Devon District Council website now does not allow access to any Minutes going back more than a year. For example, the Development Management Committee minutes stop at June 2014. If you want anything older – and why wouldn’t you? – you have to ring up.
It is also very hard indeed to access recordings of meetings. Again, I had to call up – and was duly kindly assisted, at the cost of my and Democratic Services’ wasted time.
Does anyone know if this unilateral removal of anything other than recent minutes from the website arose from a council resolution? If not, why has this happened? It cannot be a bandwidth or date storage issue surely.
At a time when the Local Plan is still live, with an election coming up – and honest people would like to see what has been happening in their name over the last four years – how can this be justified?

  2. All the documentation on the draft Local Plan and its inspection has also disappeared I gather.

The “new” site could be described as EDDC- lite – another phrase for non- transparent.

I wonder whose job it was to decide what should stay and what should go? And what criteria they used?
