Huffington Post UK:
“[Jackob] Rees-Mogg said that unlike in 2010, the three main parties no longer represent 90% of the electorate, instead “the 90 per cent figure is made up by a whole swathe of parties, which is what the prime minister has agreed to do.” He said that the proposed head-to-head between Cameron and Labour leader Ed Miliband would only cover “about 60 per cent of the vote,” adding that Britain is no longer a two-party system.”
For all there postures of telling us how well, and what Cameron and Co have achieved, we are from being together.
They have succeeded with spin, in fooling thousands of people who have heard that we in comparison with other European Counties, a land of milk and honey, but in truth the growth has been achieved by austerity, low wages, and social cuts.
Yes we certainly have had both major parties playing their part, along with the Billions used for bailing out all the banks.
But we have had five years when excessive wages and bonuses for some, have caused antagonism and unfairness.
If we do get the changes the public want with our own Councils, this will not stop the further presupposed cuts next year, although it will go a long way in making the two party state a little more answerable to all those they taken for granted.
The challenge from all the candidates standing against our standing MP have some merit, but i hope East Devon voters will at this Election be responsive to Claire Wright as a local girl who is a councilor and who knows so much about our local needs.
