Tourism in the Southwest must not spend the little money they have been allocated on expensive literature which although we have a great deal of lovely country side, many of the roads grass verges all alongside the main highways leading to tourist area’s are littered with rubbish which is so apparent to all of us, once leaving the M5 the 303 and all major roads.
This and lack of facilities such as tourist offices, Toilets, Car parking, and Dog Mess and Graffiti, are not part of our breathtaking and stunning scenery that visitors want to see.
We should have a star system of 4 for being picturesque, but in all honestly perhaps some area’s, one or two stars would be warranted because of the lack of inspired innovation from council leaders which in our case includes Exeter and Exmouth Councils, the DCC, and EDDC
