  1. To be fair, I don’t think that is really an accurate summary of the article. My own (very lay i.e. inexpert) interpretation of the judgement is that bats do matter. and protection is necessary but the judge decided that these were already required by the planning permission.

    Of course it remains to be seen whether the developer find a way to avoid these protection measures.
