Hot on the heels of a sensationalist article about Axminster being called “Crackminster” on the flimsiest of evidence comes another article on horrible things people say (or rather one person about each town) says about 9 Devon towns – including Sidmouth and (again) Axminster:
Seems like DevonLive is re-inventing itself as the Daily Fail of the south-west!

Anyone who thinks that the drugs problem is restricted to a few small towns hasn’t a clue what they are talking about – that includes any councillor who thinks retweeting other people’s content makes them the leader of the battle against drug crime. The problem is that the news media is in such a state it doesn’t investigate but just uses social media to come up with useless and inaccurate drivel which it then presents as sensational news. That ain’t the case here.
