Perhaps he should ask (one of) his Parliamentary Assistant to pull up her socks. It shouldn’t be too difficult, as it is his wife Sacha.

I can speak from personal experience here as I have written to Hugo Swire several times – perhaps 6-8 times. I have only had replies from him on two occasions.
On the first I did receive a written response – but although it was addressed to me, it was nothing to do with the question I had asked and appeared to be an answer to someone else’s question.
On the second occasion, I had no response from him, but decided to be persistent – and after several phone calls to one of his several PAs (note several phone calls needed, when none should be needed) he eventually contacted the minister concerned and eventually I got a response.
So, not really a great batting average from our Hugo – and as far as I can see the 25% who get an answer should consider themselves lucky, because presumably the other 75% (like me) get no response at all within 2 weeks.
Declaration of Interest: I am a constituent of Hugo Swire. For many decades I voted Conservative because I trusted them more than I trusted Labour. These days it feels like none of the major parties are trustworthy – I did NOT vote for Hugo in the last election, and am unlikely to vote for him or the Conservatives in the future.
