Wasn’t Cranbrook supposed to be flood-free?

This is a photograph purported to be from Cranbrook appearing on the Express and Echo website. Note the houses to the left of the image:

  1. Cranbrook is a flood free. This is the Country Park in Cranbrook which is doing its job perfectly well by keeping the rainwater away from all the homes, not just in Cranbrook but also the surrounding area. No homes have flooded and the state of the art drainage is letting the water go away gradually rather than surging to the rivers.
The planning of our town has been thoroughly thought through.
Maybe a little research is needed by East Devon watch before scaremongering?

      • Which are perfectly dry, with no one panicking about the country park doing its job perfectly? I’m fine in my Country Park view house, watching the water receding nicely and as planned.
