But what is that to the right of his shoulder in the picture? It looks like a large plastic hand just about to thump him on his rear! Maybe it’s an old Eton ritual like the Eton Ball Game. Still, at least he has his comfort blanket if the worst happens.

Well it is nice to know that he has his priorities organised, rightly putting the important and urgent matter of opening a field first, his ultra important and very visible role in the FCO second, and leaving the unimportant stuff like possible corruption in East Devon or helping his constituents or even answering constituent letters to either another day or to other politicians.
To paraphrase NtNON, “I would willingly sell my house and its entire contents to be able to vote for Hugo at the next general election.” Oh no, ooops, if I sold my house I might find my electoral registration cancelled by our ERO and not be able to vote for Hugo – so forget I said that.
