Kingdom, have resumed direct flights to Sharm el-Sheikh, which are so
vital to the Egyptian economy. What more do the Egyptian Government

  1. Well – there you have it in a nutshell.

When it comes to NHS funding, Hugo denies that the NHS needs more funding.

But he is happy to put forward questions in favour of his buddies in the Middle East.

I guess it is clear where Hugo’s priorities are and who he sees himself as representing in Parliament – and it is NOT US, the people of East Devon.

When he was a minister Hugo used to blame his lack of speaking about, and support for, East Devon in the HoC as being because of the ministerial code (though I couldn’t find anything in the code which said that when I read it). When he was sacked as a minister by Theresa, he said he was now free to speak out about East Devon, but as they say “a week is a long time in politics” and several months later this promise seems to have been forgotten and he has returned to form.

The sooner we can have another General Election, and get rid of this expensive waste of space, the better.

  2. So there were protocols in place to stop him representing his electors when he was a junior minister, but no such protocols stopping him treading on the feet of the MP who is the current FO junior minister.

  3. It’s time the legal profession investigated our MP’s bank accounts, onshore and offshore to ascertain whether or not there has been a backhander paid here.
The Egyptians are allegedly well known for greasing palms in exchange for favours.

    • In defense of Our Hugo (and I never thought I would use that phrase!) for the police to start an investigation there has to be reasonable suspicion of criminal activity – in other words they need some sort of evidence even if it is not enough to stand up in court. As far as I know there is no evidence of Our Hugo receiving backhanders.
