Well done, guys! Your tireless support for the Lib Dems must be significantly responsible for this vote split, right?

I hate to say it, but all those MRPs were right. Labour really was the challenger. Libs will have to lend their vote next time round unless by some miracle PR is enacted.

So a Tory wins yet again, this time with well under 1/3 of the vote. Even if you include reform it was < 1/2 the vote.
But the progressive 2nd and 3rd candidates YET AGAIN (for at least the last 4 general elections as far as I can recall) polled > 1/2 the total vote between them – but still a Tory is elected!!!!!!
Exactly how many elections will it take for progressive parties to get it into their heads that they will lose every time unless they form a progressive alliance????

Reed won by a bit over 100 votes. Not really a mandate given the combined LibDem and Labour vote. Now, what are we going to do to hold Reed to account on things like sewage dumping which was directly caused by his party’s policies in privatising water companies? I want to know what activities are out there besides writing letters.
