Two pages of absolutely cracking letter in the “View from …” titles this week.
One from a former recent town councillor in Seaton saying how EDDC ignores some towns and parishes totally, a critique of the “waves sculpture” in Seaton from a local artist, letters in support of Independent Parliamentary candidate Claire Wright, a letter about dinosaurs of the political kind, one about all of us NOT being in it together, particularly Hugo Swire, Phil Twiss yet again desperately attempting to bring down his EDA opponents and one supporting independence in local politics in general.
The View from titles are all available free in various retail outlets across East Devon and also online:

History in the making!
When i hear that a Government report has said; If we were to use all the brown field sites which are available all over the country we could build a total of half a million more houses. Of course some of these sites because of costs involved, would be more expensive for development due to access and clearance etc, but what is clear is the fact that green fields next to a village or town is the better option for any council or developer, and as the Government need a quick fix of the housing shortage, then we will see this free for all approach that even EDDC are agreeing with, and the reason for many residents in East Devon wanting a change in central government policy, and local government planning.
We are also being made aware that the number of people Per KM’ has been listed as, France 100, Spain 94, Italy 202, Germany- 230, with the whole UK listed as 260 per KM, But if we exclude both Scotland and Wales, England has been giving a much larger population, with the number of having 406 persons per KM. So we will need those 200,000 new builds in this next 5 years.
The question is what is a fair amount, and what is affordable for those very people who are on a waiting list for housing in this part of the country?
