  1. How can EDDC not have any guidelines or policy about how to undertake consultations?

    A quick search on Google suggests that the following local government organisations do have “consultation policy” (though this list is unlikely to be definitive):

    East Cambridgeshire District Council
    Orkney Islands Council
    Perth and Kinross Council
    Down District Council
    Adur & Worthing Councils
    Newport City Council
    Dorset County Council
    West Berkshire Council
    Swale Borough Council
    Cherwell District Council
    Haringey Council
    Eden District Council
    North East Derbyshire District Council
    Ashford Borough Council
    Chesham Town Council
    East Riding of Yorkshire Council
    Taunton Deane Borough Council
    Guildford Borough Council
    Spelthorne Borough Council
    Ipswich Borough Council
    Belmont Rural Parish Council (even a Parish Council with a consultation policy)
    Kettering Borough Council
