One thought on “Does East Devon need a CEO if South Somerset doesn’t?”
I’ve never read Sidmouth’s Streetlife, so was entertained to see that former Cllr Peter Sullivan is piping up as if he is still in office. Heavy hints of management restructuring flow from his mighty hand..
But from a layman’s point of view, what EDDC has mainly managed to do over the last two years of “restructuring management” is spend our cash on a sequence of no fewer than 3 employees meant to be “Monitoring Officer”, all of whom have now left to dispense justice and probity elsewhere. Number 4, Mr Gordon Lennox, is now in post.
The last three of course are now not available to answer any awkward questions. Mr G-L, better keep that cv close to hand. Not so much “who guards the guardians?” as “who guards the back of those daring to attempt to guard the guradians”. Good luck, Mr G-L – you have more people genuinely wishing you well than you may think, and they aren’t wearing blue.
