PCC Alison Hernandez has said she has not been national media trained.
But does PCC Hernandez need national media training to complete a general election expenses return correctly – or to consider whether appearing at an event with the officer who is the designated Devon & Cornwall police point of contact for the investigation into her alleged election expenses offence may not be the best of ideas?

That has got to be the most stupid action she has made so far. A selfie with a hunky fireman whilst the hotel burned behind her was bad enough.
But how stupid a PCC do you have to be to compromise an investigation into your own conduct, an investigation that (presumably) you hope will exonerate you, by appearing in public with one of the investigation team?

P.S. Bring back Boss Hogg – he may have been a Tory, but at least he had some intelligence, some dignity and some integrity.
