Not surprised.
1. Boris will have read the Sasha Swire exposé – and knows that there is a level of independent journalism in Devon which would be likely to ask awkward questions. No names, no pack drill – but ruffled feathers might come into it.
2. With the Sasha Swire exposé, there are even more awkward and embarrassing questions that might be asked.
3. Even without the above two points, any journalists who might ask questions need to be excluded otherwise someone might actually attempt (however futile it is) actually to try to hold Boris to account – and we we know just how much Boris hates that and the lengths he will go to to avoid the possibility of it happening.
